About Me
My name is Amanda welcome to my blog! I recently graduated with a biology degree at the University of Minnesota and I have dreams of becoming a doctor. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to the next couple of years off to pursue my creative side that I've put off for the past four years.
I'm a low-key person who loves to stay home making crafts, doing photography, or baking some concoction and this blog is perfect for my homebody lifestyle. I hope you guys like it!
The inspiration for the name of this blog.
The name of this blog was inspired by my first time falling in love. We spent most of our college weekends exploring Downtown Minneapolis and you could say we fell in love in the city lights.
My photography
Nothing is more cumbersome and draining than being a science major and a premed student with all of the chemistry, physics, and biology you have to take. So naturally I found a hobby that relieves me of all that stress and I absolutely love it. I started doing photography my senior year of high school when I was disappointed with my senior pictures. So I decided to save up for my first DSLR (a Canon Rebel xTi) and since then, I've actually started taking senior pictures for others!
So Amanda, what kind of camera do you use?
I upgraded to a Canon 7D about two years ago and it's fantastic. I won't need to upgrade for a long time (nor will I have money to upgrade for a long time XD).
How about those fantastic depth of field and bokeh pictures? What lens do you use?
The pictures on this blog will most likely be with a 50mm 1.4 or a 18-135mm 3.5-5.6.
